Breast Care Roadshow October 2024
West Sussex Breast Screening Service are excited to promote the Breast Care Roadshow event, delivered to you from Breast Care in Sussex (East, West Sussex, Brighton & Hove).
There are 3 key events that West Sussex Breast Screening Service is organising/attending during October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month... shouting about Breast Awareness and the importance of Breast Screening.
The main event is supported by Sussex Cancer Fund & My University Hospitals Sussex.
8 - 11 October - Royal Sussex County Hospital
Pop up stand at Louisa Martindale Building, Royal Sussex County Hospital Information leaflets available all week. The stand will be staffed on the 8th October 10am-1pm only
12 October from 10.30am - 1pm - Hove
St Richards Community Centre, Egmont Road, Hove, BN3 7FP Being well in the West, The Hangleton and Knoll Project. Information stalls and other local health providers and services available.
Main Event ‘Wear it Pink’
18 October from 1pm - 4pm Worthing Hospital, Breast Care Centre
- Breast Care Nurse stand: demonstration on how to check your breasts using our breast model kit.
- View the mammography suite to see how screening works.
- Aftercare stand with information available.
- Charity bake sale Come and grab a delicious bake, money raised will go to the Breast Care Centre.
- Sussex Cancer Fund and My University Hospitals Sussex charity raffle: Pick up raffle tickets to win prizes! Money raised will go to the Breast Care Centre.
- 1 - 2.30pm Splat & Chat session, ticketed event. Tickets on sale in September, £20 in total per ticket with £5 going towards the unit. https://splatnchat.com/
- 3pm Breast Cancer Awareness talk Presented by Mr Ross Kenny, Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon.
