Shout Out - Great Service Provided from Community Pharmacy
Due to the prolonged rainfall in December the road in Jane’s village was damaged and closed for safety. This made it very difficult to request a repeat prescription. Jane waited until the end of January in the hope that the closed road situation would have been resolved but it was not. Jane found that she had almost run out of her medication.
Speaking with her neighbour Jane learnt that the local pharmacy provides a Free Prescription Delivery service. Jane looked at the Kamsons Pharmacy Pulborough website and then called them to learn more.

The telephone was answered by a very friendly and helpful member of the team, who arranged her repeat prescription and signed her up for the Free Prescription Delivery Service. A few days later her medication was delivered. She cannot thank them enough for being so supportive and efficient.
Other ways that a repeat prescription can be arranged:
- NHS App for repeat prescriptions
- If you take medicine regularly, you'll usually have a repeat prescription.
- This means you can order your medicine when you need it, without having to phone your GP practice.
There are 3 ways to order a repeat prescription from your GP surgery:
- On the NHS app or by logging into your NHS account at www.nhs.uk.
- Online via your GP practice website if they have an online service.
- By phone, post, or in person at your GP practice.

Using the NHS app is so easy, log in and in 5 clicks, your repeat prescription is submitted to your GP surgery. It’s so much easier than using her surgery’s online form, which requires her to either take a picture of the paper repeat prescription, but the resolution of the picture is often wrong so gets rejected, or you have to manually type in what you want to order which takes ages. Louise always uses the NHS app now.
