We're a small but dedicated team with a range of skills and experiences.

Zoey Harries

Healthwatch West Sussex Manager

Zoey joined Healthwatch in August 2023 and has a background in healthcare regulation and fitness to practise, including 7 years of management experience working in healthcare related roles. As a qualified teacher, clinical system trainer and assessor, she has worked in a number of people centered roles with a focus on learning and development. She is passionate about making a difference in the local area and will be reviewing priorities throughout the year while listening to the needs of West Sussex residents and driving positive change.

Jo Tuck

Volunteering Lead and Deputy Manager

Jo joined the team in 2015 and has a strong background in the voluntary and community sector. Jo’s career started as a voluntary service co-ordinator in a volunteer-led organisation, and she has established, led and project managed a number of voluntary services in the health and care sector over the past 25+ years. She is passionate about patient voices influencing services and has extensive lived experience of disability and patient care, as well as a wealth of experience gained through volunteering, in health and care and youth work.

Cheryl Berry

Community Partnership Lead

Cheryl’s passion for health care comes from working for a charity as a Policy and Project Manager for 17 years. Cheryl has a Master degree in Health, Ethics and Society and became a national Self-Care Forum Champion in 2017 and completed the International Foundation for Integrated Care Online Certificate in 2021. Cheryl started as a volunteer in 2013 and joined as a team member in 2017 as the Community Partnership Lead. Working collaboratively to achieve joint goals, she has helped develop partnerships with 'common purpose'.

Elena Gelibter

Children & Young People Engagement Lead

Elena joined Healthwatch in March 2024. She has a BSc degree in Biomedical Science and a MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience. After working in Research and Science Teaching, she has gained years of experience in Youth Engagement and Participation, focusing on Mental Health. She is passionate about working closely with young people to plan, develop and deliver a variety of projects, ensuring the views and experiences of young people around health and social care issues influence decision making to improve access to and quality of health services, locally.

Kerry

Kerry Albertyn

Communications Lead

Kerry joined our team in October 2022 as our Digital Communications Lead. She is passionate about gathering news and creating engaging and informative content for our social media accounts, newsletters and website. With over 17 years of experience as a digital graphic designer, she designs reports and case studies using health and social care information gathered from the team and proudly promotes the work they do.

Ben Dolley 

Advocate for Independent Health Complaints Advocacy Service

Ben has been an advocate for over 15 years and previously worked at Shelter and Citizens Advice before joining the Independent Complaints Advocacy Service. When not working Ben enjoys gardening and learning the piano.

Katie Weston

Advocate for Independent Health Complaints Advocacy Service

Katie joined the IHCAS team in July 2017, having previously worked in her local family centre. Working in the IHCAS team has provided Katie with the opportunity to ensure the residents of West Sussex have a voice when they make NHS complaints. She has a broad knowledge of the health and social care system having completed her BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care at The Open University in 2014.  During her studies she volunteered by supporting vulnerable families in her local community.

Sophie Dymock

Community Involvement Worker and Trainee Advocate for Independent Health Complaints Advocacy Service

Sophie became a volunteer supporting community engagement in her local area. In 2017 she became a part time team member, also doing community engagement. She found it interesting to speak to residents about their experiences, provide advice and signposting as needed. In 2021 she become a part time IHCAS advocate and Sophie felt that she could make a difference to people who found themselves needing to make an NHS complaint. Sophie completed the City and Guilds Level 2 Qualification in Independent Advocacy and began to work with clients.
